About Roetz-Bikes
Roetz-Bikes is on a mission. We are taking circular design to the next level by designing a circular electric bike platform. We believe our mission and design philosophy will change the bike industry and beyond. Roetz has already built up extensive expertise in circular bikes through supplying products directly to consumers but also large parties such as NS, ING and Schiphol. Our production is run from our Fair Factory operation in Amsterdam Noord and our design team works just around the corner.
We are looking for a mechanical engineer to contribute to our unique product. You will be part of a focused and fast-paced team, helping us move from proof of concept through to production. Your main tasks will include:
- Improve the e-bike design for manufacturing and take responsibility for mechanical details
- Generate production drawings for suppliers and work with them to ensure parts are produced to a high quality
- Work with operations and design team to design and realize our production process and tooling
- In the longer term design and commission tooling for the remanufacturing process of our e-bike fleet
We are looking for a proactive team member who has:
- An MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a BSc Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years of experience
- Extensive experience with Solidworks
- Hands on experience prototyping and working on mechanical systems as a hobby or professionally
- Experience working in the bike, motorcycle or automotive industry
- Experience with simulation for mechanical design optimization
- Interest and experience in circular design
